Vico Heaters
Vico heaters are
a viable alternative to Amerec heaters, for heating your home
sauna. If you want to relax at home and rejuvenate your body
and participate in a little self-
appreciation, you will need
a heater for that home sauna.
Vico heaters do are arguably a little bit more expensive than some other sauna heaters, but Vico do offer some attractive and powerful models. Vico heaters are probably more practical if you are looking to use your heater for a commercial sized sauna - i.e. with several people in the sauna. if you have a 2 person home sauna then a Vico model for $1500 (£1000) or so if too expensive. The 80,000 BTU Vico model is able to take 450lbs (pounds) of rocks which is far more than you may need for a home sauna.
For a home sauna, if you want something small and cheap, then a 2.3kw or 3.6kw will likely be much more practical and also affordable. A low cost heater stove with built-in controls might only set you back about £120 (US$180, €170).
If you do decide that you are going for a more industrial style sauna heater then think carefully as to if you need something so large, powerful and expensive. Vico heaters often meet regulation approval (as do most sauna heaters) and the Vico sauna heaters often look classy and are built strong and too last well. You shouldn't be disappointed.
