10 Massages you
might want to try (Part 1)
Massage is a wonderful way to unwind and relax
those tired muscles and enjoying a wellness break is needed from
time to time. Below we look at 10 types of massage you might
want to try.
-
Swedish Massage is one of the most well
known and popular massages and it is not hard to see why. Swedish
massage involves 6 strokes and these strokes are aimed
at helping the blood flow and circulation of the blood. The
main stroked go by the name vibration, friction, tapotement,
pettrisage, compression and last but not least effleurage.
Swedish massage was formed originally by Per Henrik Ling,
who was a Swedish masseur who created hi sown technique.
-
Thai Massage is a massage many of you who
have visited Thailand may have tried and which you will thus
be aware is certainly a more aggresive and rougher style
of massage compared to the more relaxing Swedish massage.
Thai massage seems to be as much a streching and yoga type
effort, which combines massage with movement. If you go to
Thailand make sure to try Thai massage out.
-
Foot Massage is many ladies favourite because
this can really relax those tired feet and the powerpoints
make one feel relaxed body wide. Also sometimes called Reflexology,
a proper foot massage normally involves first soaking ones
feet, then a cream rubbed into the feet, the feet massages
and excess skin removed and further massage, washing and
massage. A good foot massage can take 30 minutes and Chinese herbs are often used in the cream and water.
- Chocolate Massage is surely one of the
more fun, exciting and for some couples, erotic styles of
massage. Chocolate
massage canbe especially good because the aromas from
the cocoa make one relax
and
ingredients are thought to offer many health benefits. For
couples, it can also be fun because you can lick the chocolate
off as you massage it into your partner and you can have
a lot of fun. This though can potentially be a messy form
of massage with chocolate everywhere.
-
Shiatsu massage is originally from Japan
and the thumb is the main pressure point used in this form
of massage. Certain fingers and the thumb are used to create
the pressure onto the area being massaged.
