The Beach at Cap
d'Agde naturist resort
Cap d'Agde naturist beach is a
long sandy beach and almost a mile in length and with lifeguards
there for the main summer months. The beach is a lovely wide
sandy beach and the sea water is often warm and you can normally
walk out quite a distance in the shallow water.
The beach is very popular throughout the summer
months, mainly from June through to and including September (although
it does begin to get quiet in the second half of September).
Located on the tip of Agde, the resort and area
are thus named Cap d'Agde, meaning the tip of Agde. The naturists
beach is accessible from
naturism resort with many entrances and walkways from the resort
to the beach.
When you enter the main resort there is an entrance
gate and you have to get a card to enter the resort from the
resort front office. Once in you then have access to the whole
resort (except for the camping which also has another security
gate on it and requires you to have a booking to enter).
The beach is not divided up officially but unofficially
it often tends to be that, looking at the beach facing the resort,
families tend to use the left side, young couples the centre
part and gay couples the right side. People though use whatever
part of the beach they wish to and the atmosphere is very good
wherever you choose to relax.
Facilities on or by the beach include:
- Parasol and sun-lounge rentals.
- Cafes and bars beside the beach.
- Lifeguards and policing in the main summer months.
- Ice-cream seller (normally).
- Showers and areas to wash off the sand, beside the beach.
