A Guide
to 5 Wellness and spa Treatments
If you are in need of some well deserved relaxation and wellness
time then there are a number of treatments you might want to
consider. Below a look at 10 treatments which are certainly
worth considering.
1. Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is something that uses
one of five senses - smell. The human
nose can detect more than thousands of different aromas and
Aromatherapy plays on this human ability. With aromatherapy
the consultant normally (according to what kind of wellness
help you want) will create mix of certain oils. If you want
to de-stress the mix of oils will for example
be different to if you want to relax due to fatigue. The aromas
in other words are designed according to your needs and then
the masseur provides a massage using these oils. This is a
nice combination of aroma and massage (a combination similar
to chocolate massage).
2. Indian Head Massage
This style of head massage on
the other hand is a very different type of relaxation but one which
can still be very effective. Indian Head
massage specifically
uses essential oils as part of the massage and the massage
also aims to help ones shoulders, neck and head. This is almost
a meditative form of head massage and the masseur uses his/her
fingers and hand in a certain way. After an Indian Head Massage
you will likely feel very good.
3. Reflexology
Reflexology is also well worth trying and
offers a great chance to unwind. Reflexology also sometimes
goes by the name of 'Zone Therapy' and this treatment involves
a masseur massaging the feet but in a way that he/she works
on different areas on the feet and works on pressure points.
This type of massage can be done on the hands also but is normally
and more ocmmonly done with feet.
4. Aroma Baths
This is another way to unwind with very little effort. An
aroma bath in a spa or wellness centre normally involves a
large bath with jacuzzi style bubbling water. The water will
have had a number of herbs and oils.
5. Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is
becoming very popular these days and it is certainly a fun
type of massage and worth trying. This style of massage involves
using basaltic stones which are hot (i.e. sixty to seventy
degrees) and these stones are placed on the body during the
massage.
